Atlanta InDesign User GroupMeeting Notes Archive
Aptil 10, 2007
You could feel the excitement and anticipation build as the room began to fill on the evening of April 10. We had a great turnout with over 115 attendees and the opportunity to meet new friends and catch up with old ones. The group was anxious to experience Creative Suite 3 and we were not disappointed. Noha Edell of Adobe Systems introduced us to the amazing new features of Adobe Creative Suite 3, including InDesign.
It was evident that Adobe has found new ways to free our creativity and have a more productive workflow as Noha guided us along. The new live-color feature in Illustrator is amazing and will change the way we experiment with color in our designs. The integration of Dreamweaver and Flash and the improved and expanded capabilities of Photoshoplike working with 3D elementsand its improved performance, will help us move to the next level. We were also excited about the changes in the tool that brings it all together, the improved (and much faster) Adobe Bridge.
I haven’t even mentioned InDesign yet! There is not enough space here to tell you everything, but the improved transparency tools and the addition of live, nondestructive, Photoshop filters within InDesign are amazing. We now have Table styles, multiple and selective image placement, gradient feather effects, and much more! Yeah!
